HowFactory founders Trace Steffen and Kenny Stevenson pitched along side Kids Calendar at One Million Cups hosted in Cedar Rapids, IA this past week. The event organizers commented that it was one of the largest One Million Cups (1MC) gatherings they had ever attended in Cedar Rapids.
1MC allows entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their startups to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors, and other entrepreneurs. The presenting entrepreneurs gather information on how they can improve their business, connect with a community, gather realtime feedback and, overall, advance their business. After HowFactory’s pitch was complete the audience provided feedback during a Question & Answer session. Attendees also filled out a questionnaire rating the pitch and the business opportunity.
The startup community here in Cedar Rapids is awesome! People at events like 1MC give companies like HowFactory great feedback. It was great to pitch to a group that is new to HowFactory. We have been trying some new things with our pitch lately, so the comments were of great benefit.
